An AI-driven maternal health platform enhances mental and social support for pregnant and postpartum women, aiming for culturally inclusive precision medicine. It features a unique peer-to-peer matching algorithm and personalized activities tailored to parents' needs.
Maternal healthcare faces significant challenges:
Including inadequate mental health support
Lack of personalized care
Insufficient progress tracking for pregnant women and new mothers
Perinatal mood disorders and postpartum depression are critical areas that need targeted interventions. Traditional maternal healthcare solutions often lack comprehensive, culturally sensitive approaches that address these needs.
The goal is to create an engaging maternal support platform that:
Keeps parents coming back and engaged
See users utilizing their Squad pages
See utilization of info sessions from MyLUA staff
Gets parents to share the platform with their friends & community members, increasing our user base.
Features feed into each other towards the goal of making parents feel supported, socially connected, and self-efficacious in their prenatal and postpartum care. Events & rewards incentivize users to join and stay on the platform. The features should have a unifying design & brand voice of support & inclusivity with a focus on honest or “real talk”. Users should feel welcomed on the platform and consistently feel like there is another activity to complete or opportunity to explore.

Through the project execution process I usually follow these main stages:
Discover: Deep dive into your goals, users, and business context. Understanding comes before designing.
Define: Structure the problem, map user flows, and create wireframes that set a solid foundation.
Design: High-fidelity visuals, interactive prototypes, and a design system that scales with your product.
Deliver: Clean handoff with specs, assets, and documentation — so your dev team can build without guessing.
Here are some design results aligned with the project's objectives.
Clear app introduction and straightforward user authentication process to effectively capture each user's goals.

Collecting personal data from each mother enables AI to customize content and recommend supportive groups based on their individual personalities.

The AI analyzes the personality quiz completed by each mother to recommend weekly programs tailored to her specific goals. Daily, mothers can review symptom logs and add new symptom data, enabling the AI to monitor health and mood. This information may also serve as a valuable record for healthcare providers in the future.

A key aspect of this project is the Community feature designed for expectant mothers. AI suggests groups aligned with mom's goals, enabling them to connect, share experiences, track progress, and discuss concerns. This feature aims to foster mutual support among MyLUA Health app users.

A key tool for tracking daily progress in pregnant women. AI evaluates data from weekly program completion and symptom logs, providing insights into the physical and mental health of mothers throughout pregnancy and postpartum.
